Dry and delicious
This is a full and forward wine that is delicious when young and always has the structure to improve for years
this is now one of the great white wines of the Friuli
and Guyot* trained on fertile soils
This wine is then aged for 3 years in botti grande
The land is worked by hand to keep the soils loose and encourage wild herbs and flowers
shot through with violet
The grapes are de-stemmed and macerated for about 8 days
Ferrante thinks of this wine as ‘the academic’
taut and soft in all the right places with wonderful lemon and grapefruit balancing the natural exuberance of the variety
It is excellent with very strong dishes such as rib-eye with a reduction of balsamic
an ancient system where the vines are planted in pairs
