The standard 18.5-inch VHF antenna on a TT25 or T20 collar looks right on a lab or a pointer. On a beagle or a feist, it looks like a radio tower. The Compact VHF Antenna is the fix.

Garmin’s 14.5-inch compact antenna is a shorter replacement specifically designed for the Alpha TT25 and T20 collars on small breeds. It maintains a solid 4-mile tracking range when used with a compatible handheld, more than adequate for most working dogs. Includes three antenna clips for secure, clean attachment to the collar strap so it doesn’t flop around as the dog moves.

Installation is the same two-screw swap as every other Garmin antenna; remove the mounting plate screws, swap the antenna, tighten back down. Five minutes.

Running a beagle pack on cottontails, a small feist on squirrels, or a compact spaniel on woodcock? The standard antenna works, but the compact keeps the setup proportional and reduces the chance of the antenna snagging cover that a bigger dog would push through without issue.
