Our Story
Ugly Dog Hunting began its journey in 2000 as the brainchild of Terry Wilson and Nancy Anisfield. Inspired by the antics of their beloved German Wirehair, Scrub, and other bird dogs, they developed a catalog company dedicated to providing top-notch gear for bird hunters and dog trainers across the country. Fueled by their passion for the outdoors and a commitment to quality, Ugly Dog Hunting quickly became a trusted name in the upland hunting community.
In 2023, they passed the torch to Mike Neiduski, a seasoned bird dog owner and avid hunter, who took the reins as the sole owner and operator. Inspired by his first wirehair, Plexi, Mike continues the brand’s longstanding legacy of excellence. Today, Ugly Dog Hunting stands at the intersection of serious and silly, celebrating the bond between hunters and their dogs while providing reliable gear for their adventures in the field.
