The Dogtra EDGE RT2 is a 1.2-mile e-collar designed specifically for retriever trainers who need fast, eyes-free adjustments during a series or a blind. The slimmer no-look transmitter and quick-access side buttons keep your eyes on the dog while you work. IPX9K waterproof, expandable to 4 dogs.
Retriever training is timing-dependent in a way a lot of hunting is not. You’re watching a dog run a line, watching the mark, judging the cast. Looking down at your transmitter to dial in a level costs you the moment. The EDGE RT2 is designed around that problem.
The transmitter is 12% slimmer than earlier EDGE models and has a rubber grip for one-handed use. The quick-access side buttons let you change stimulation level without breaking your eyes from the dog. The 10-level stimulation selector dial keeps the system simple, and the Low/Medium/High Combo Boost gets you a major level jump in one press when you need it.
Audible Tone and XPP Pager Vibration give you communication tools beyond stimulation, which matters in retriever work where conditioning is doing as much work as correction. The dual-sided 1000 LUX LED locate lights are visible at distance for low-light marks and dawn or dusk training sessions.
The RT2 runs on the same platform as the EDGE2 and accepts the same additional receivers.
