The Dogtra 282C is the two-dog version of the 280C, Dogtra’s smallest receiver, now with a second collar included. Color-coded buttons for each dog, 127 stimulation levels via Rheostat Dial, 1/2-mile range. For dogs as small as 10 lbs.
If you’re running two small dogs and the 280C is the right size for your setup, the 282C is simply the two-dog version. Same ultra-compact receiver, Dogtra’s smallest, with a second collar in the box and a transmitter that controls both from one hand.
The 282C uses color-coded buttons for each dog, so you always know which collar you’re correcting without looking down. The 127-level Rheostat Dial gives you precise control across a wide range of temperaments. It’s mid-range output means it’s appropriate for softer dogs and foundational work. Nick, Continuous, and Pager Vibration are the core functions. No BOOST or tone on the 280C/282C series. If you want those, the 280X is the current-generation upgrade with the expanded feature set.
The 282C is particularly useful for handlers running a brace of smaller or softer dogs. 1/2-mile range, IPX9K waterproof on both units.
For two-dog setups with larger dogs or dogs needing more output, look at the 280X 2-Dog or the 1900X with an add-on collar.
