Late season is cold, its windy, it’s often wet or snowy. The Dixie Kennel Cover makes your dogs safe space to and from the hunt warm and cozy so they’re ready to go when you arrive to the field or water.

MicroLite 3 insulation boosts the inside temperature 20 to 40 degrees over ambient. That’s the difference between a dog shivering at the gas station and a dog that’s ready to hunt when you drop the tailgate.

The shell is 2-ply, 1200 Denier poly. Wind resistant, water resistant. The bottom is industrial grade rubber with a non-skid coating, because a cover that slides around in the truck bed is worse than no cover at all.

Ten exterior pockets hold leads, bumpers, a spare collar, whatever you’re tired of digging for in the console. Four D-ring tie-downs anchor it. Two carry handles. Removable mesh window flaps for airflow when it isn’t January. A roll-up front flap that zips, not one held together with velcro that quits by year two.

Fits the Dakota 283 G3 (Medium, Large, XL) and the Dakota 283 CRaTE Kennel right out of the box. Own a Gunner, a Vari Kennel, a Ruffland, a Pet Porter, or something else entirely? Spot clean only, medium hose pressure, air dry. Don’t machine wash or dry it. The insulation won’t survive.

Heads up on wire crates: Mud River does not warranty this cover for use on wire crates. The corners wear through the fabric over time.

Match your crate’s exact outside dimensions against the sizing guide. If you’re between sizes, size up. A tight cover won’t close over the door latch.

Does it fit wire crates?
Mud River doesn’t warranty this cover on wire crates. The wire corners wear through the fabric.
